Dr. Bond, who is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, an interventional cardiologist, and the senior member of Heartland Cardiology, retired on July 31, 2014. He practiced cardiology in Wichita since 1974, and was the physician who established coronary angioplasty at Wesley Medical Center in 1980. He was awarded an Army Commendation medal and two Bronze Stars for his service in Vietnam at a forward hospital. Dr. Bond also served as the Chairman for the Cardiology Division at Wesley Medical Center. When they are not traveling throughout the United States to visit their grown children, Dr. Bond and his wife of more than 30 years enjoy opera, art and college basketball.
