Dr. Saad Farhat is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Disease with extensive experience and training in Nuclear Cardiology. He serves as the Medical Director of the Cath lab at Newton Medical Center since it’s establishment in 2009. He is a long-standing participant, and one of the founders of Newton Medical Center Cardiac Services. He was the first Cardiologist to implant an Internal Cardiac Defibrillator in a patient at Newton Medical Center, as well as the first cardiologist at Newton Medical Center to perform a transesophageal echocardiogram, and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
Dr. Farhat performs pacemaker, and defibrillator implants, heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms, and all types of stress tests, as well as Cardiovascular Disease consultation and management. He has a special interest in Diagnostic Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Catheterization, Cardiac Device implants and follow up, and Nuclear Cardiology and non-invasive cardiovascular care. Dr. Saad Farhat enjoys playing soccer, exercising, spending time with his family and traveling in his free time.
