Heartland Cardiology opened our West office in 2009. This was a leased building located at 13th and Tyler. With the lease agreement coming to an end in September, it was decided to purchase a building showing Heartland’s commitment to the West Wichita Community. On September 2, 2014, Heartland West opened its doors at 9000 West Central. This facility is larger and conveniently located to provide the very best service to patients in West Wichita and the surrounding communities. We continue to maintain two other facilities in the Wichita area, Heartland Main at 551 N. Hillside-Ste 410, and Heartland Cypress 9300 E. 29th St. N-Ste 310.
A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held on September 12, 2014. In attendance with West office staff were Board President Assem Farhat, MD, and members Husam Bakdash, MD, Ghiyath Tabbal, MD, Hussam Farhoud, MD, Roger Bond, MD, Emeritus, along with Shilpa Kshatriya, MD and CEO of Heartland Cardiology Barry Reynolds. Several dignitaries were also present including City Councilmember Jeff Longwell, Sedgwick County Commissioner Karl Peterjohn, Kansas Representative Dan Hawkins, and Kansas Senator Les Donovan. The event began with a speech by Jeff Longwell recognizing Heartland’s commitment to West Wichita, followed by a speech from Barry Reynolds and Assem Farhat, MD. Dr. Farhat expressed Heartland’s commitment to their patients and the importance of continued growth in the community. Attendees were then welcome to tour the building. We look forward to seeing patients in our new West office home!
